The Mainichi 6 Jul 2026 Standard
Visit source
(...) Under the theme "Let's learn about Japanese day care centers," 15 people from seven foreign resident families gathered. They received explanations on procedures for enrolling children in Japanese day care, differences from kindergartens, types of facilities and the various documents that must be submitted to local governments. Some participants eagerly took notes. (...) Tomomi Tsubonoya, secretary-general of Mother's Tree Japan, said, "If we can create spaces centered on babies where people bring their knowledge together and grow together, that may lead to community building that keeps both Japanese and foreign residents from becoming isolated."
