UN Concerned About Infrastructure Attacks

U.S. Central Command said its recent targets included “military logistics infrastructure."

U.S. Military Mentions Infrastructure As Its Targets

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern about escalating attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran and the region, his spokesperson said.
U.S. Central Command said its recent targets included “military logistics infrastructure,” the first mention of infrastructure in over a week.
Iranian media reported strikes early Saturday in Hormozgan Province, near the Strait of Hormuz. State TV reported three fatalities, eight injuries, and damage to two bridges and a road tunnel.
Explosions or strikes were reported in Sirik, Ahvaz, Yazd, Jask, and Khorramabad late Friday or early Saturday, according to Iranian media.
On Friday, Iranian state media reported U.S. attacks struck at least five bridges in southern Iran. Seven people died in attacks on bridges in Bandar Khamir. A train station there was also hit. An airport in Iranshahr near the Pakistan border was reportedly targeted.

Trump Threatens Strikes On Iran's Infrastructure

Trump has threatened broad air strikes on Iran’s infrastructure and has not ruled out a ground assault on its coast or islands. U.S. officials said attacks on southern Iran partly aim to give Trump strategic options.
These actions risk provoking Iran to target critical infrastructure in Gulf states or encouraging its allies in Yemen to disrupt global energy supplies by attacking Red Sea shipping routes.
Iran announced attacks on Gulf countries hosting U.S. airbases, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, as well as a U.S. vessel in the northern Indian Ocean. Saudi Arabia’s civil defense issued early warnings in at least two locations but reported no damage. Earlier in the conflict, Iran targeted Saudi Arabia’s energy facilities.

Gulf Allies Reports Iran Attacks On Their Infrastructure

Kuwaiti authorities reported that an Iranian attack damaged a power generation and water desalination station, causing a fire and disrupting numerous electricity units.
The Kuwaiti army later stated it was responding to Iranian drone attacks.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards stated they attacked a U.S. drone depot in Bahrain and destroyed Bahrain’s main artificial intelligence center using ballistic missiles and drones.
State news agency IRNA reported that the Iranian navy fired a shore-to-sea cruise missile at what it described as a hostile U.S. vessel in the northern Indian Ocean. Iran’s army stated the missile launch caused “fear and panic” and forced the vessel to move out of range.
